Oratory

Evoking the past, mysticism and Giorgio Vasari

The Oratory was commissioned in 1720 by Giovanni Jacopo Bacci, a representative of one of the highest Tuscan aristocratic Houses, and dedicated to Saint Philip Neri. The decor, dating from the period, will leave you breathless: the polychrome marble flooring and altar, the paintings, among which there is one unique work to be found in Italy from the immortal Giorgio Vasari, of whom Bacci himself was a descendant, and still even more to be discovered. There are moreover many other reasons why the Oratory of Villa Caggiolo was described in glowing terms, and not just for the beauty, the richness and the magnificence of the interior. Allow yourself the privilege of finding them.
